January 31st. A months worth of killer shows and we ended it on a high note. I got a call at work one day from a kid asking if I could help his band out with a show because some of their tour dates had been cancelled by icy conditions. I told the guy I had a show he could jump on that sunday night. Having never heard his band I figured Id hook him up to fatten the bill for our friends in Karoshi touring through on their way home to Nashville from New Orleans. The mystery band was Full Of Hell who had STS, another awesome band in tow. They all camped out at my house for two days until the Sunday Matinee. The show went off hard as fuck. Our local friends the Drains opened up and started things off with a killer set of dirty south grunge punk. Next up was STS who ripped through a blistering set of evil fastcore. They were fucking gnarly, with awesome drumming. Full Of Hell are a new favorite of mine. Young guys who play a killer brand of power violence influenced fast core. They thrashed it up sick and I back them. Karoshi are some friends of ours we made last year. Love those dudes. They belt out an intense set of melodic crust core in the Nashville tradition. Solid Band, Solid Dudes. We played last with a particularly inspired set of new material. January was a fun month. We will be taking a well deserved break during February to catch up on some sleep, bills, recording, and personal time.

Who Dat!

We played with our buddies Music Hates You in New Orleans January 24 @ The Hi Ho Lounge. We packed up our trailer and hauled out early that Sunday to catch a hotel room and start drinking/watching the Saints in the NFC Championship. It was a a fucking blast being seeing the Saints win it and Partying it up with the locals. The show ripped fucking hard. Music Hates You gets better everytime I see them and deserve to be fucking famous. We ripped our new set and spent the rest of the night gettin oiled up. Show was a fun hot mess

couple updates. barely getting this blog started and already slacking. January 16th we played with Seraphim, Ragpicker, and Lowlife @ the Doom Room. Lowlife opened with their blistering fastcore and demolished like little brothers from hell. Ragpicker was a welcome suprise. This was those guys first show away from home and the crowd was very into them. They threw down a hard set of memorable riffs and superb drumming. Last up was Seraphim who I am backing hard. Its so refreshing to see another Mississippi band that I really love. Everyone needs to check out Seraphim. Definitely plan on playing some sick gigs with those cats. Awesome. We destroyed as usual and the show was a blast even with a smaller turnout than normal. Hope to see all those bands back at The Room.
